2. Use of this website
By accessing highlinergp.com you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. You agree not to use the site unlawfully, to attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or to interfere with its normal operation.
3. Information on this site
The content here is provided for general information about our services. It does not constitute professional, legal, financial or employment advice, and it is not an offer capable of acceptance. Service descriptions, timelines and results shown are indicative and describe past engagements; they are not a guarantee of any particular outcome for your business.
4. Engagements
Any engagement of Highliner Group is governed by a separate written proposal, engagement letter or service agreement setting out scope, fees, timelines and liability. Nothing on this website creates a contract for services.
5. Intellectual property
The Highliner Group name, logo, site design, text and graphics are owned by or licensed to Highliner Group and are protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may view and print pages for your own reference. You may not reproduce, republish or use the content commercially without our written permission.
6. Third-party links
This site may link to third-party websites and services, and loads web fonts from a third-party provider. We are not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of any third-party site or service, and a link does not imply endorsement.
7. Availability and liability
We aim to keep the site available and accurate but do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Highliner Group shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business or loss of data arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you use the site is the version that applies, and the date above shows when it was last revised.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts.
Privacy Policy
Highliner Group respects your privacy and handles personal data in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong ("PDPO"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and what rights you have.
1. What we collect
- Information you give us. When you contact us by email or telephone, we receive your name, contact details and whatever you choose to tell us about your enquiry.
- Candidate information. If you engage with our recruitment service, we may collect your CV, employment history, qualifications, references and related information.
- Technical information. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and reliability purposes.
This website does not run advertising trackers and does not set marketing cookies. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
2. How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and provide the services you ask for.
- To match candidates with roles, and to share candidate information with a prospective employer where the candidate has agreed to that.
- To administer our client relationships, including invoicing and record keeping.
- To maintain the security and performance of this website.
- To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
3. Direct marketing
We will not use your personal data in direct marketing without your consent, as required by the PDPO. If you have consented to receive updates from us, you may withdraw that consent at any time and at no cost by emailing [email protected]. We will stop using your data for marketing on receipt of your request.
4. Disclosure
We do not sell personal data. We may disclose it to service providers who work on our behalf (for example IT, hosting and professional advisers) under obligations of confidentiality, to a prospective employer or client where you have agreed to that, and to authorities where we are required to do so by law.
5. Retention
Personal data is kept only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, or as required by law, and is then deleted or anonymised.
6. Security
We take reasonably practicable steps to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, and any transmission is at your own risk.
7. Your rights
Under the PDPO you have the right to ask whether we hold personal data about you, to request a copy of it, and to request correction of any data that is inaccurate. To make a data access or data correction request, write to [email protected] or to our office address below. We may charge a reasonable fee for complying with a data access request, as permitted by the PDPO.
8. Changes to this policy
We may revise this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page, with the revision date shown at the top.
9. Contact
Questions about these terms or about how we handle your personal data can be sent to [email protected], or by post to 1204 Eastern Harbour Center, Quarry Bay, Hong Kong.
